School of Tourism and Foreign Affairs has 58 teachers, including 15 professors and associate professors, 11 lecturers, and 16 postgraduates with both academic and professional qualifications. The school offers 4 majors: Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Foreign Affairs Management, and Housekeeping Management, involving 1255 students.
　 School of Tourism and Foreign Affairs holds the educating goal of Cultivating the Talents with the Practical Skills . The setting of this goal is based upon the newly developing higher vocational education, and the school-running aim of serving local tourism industry of Qingdao , leading and influencing the neighboring area. Following the college's talents-cultivating Mode of Teaching and Training in Practical Situations, Coupling the College with the Community. The school emphasizes practical teaching, deepens the cooperation with well-known tourism companies, and raises the students' competitive capability in job hunting, self-employed capability, and job transferring capability. The school has educated large numbers of qualified graduates for the tourism fields in Qingdao and its neighboring area. The employment rate of the school reached over 95%.
　 The School offers assistance actively for the local companies in Qingdao , and provides them with intellectual support. So far the school has trained more than 1,000 person-times for some services. The school cooperates with some famous domestic companies; meanwhile, it is strengthening contact with overseas and tries to make the teaching geared to international standards. Now the school has set up fine relationship with some colleges in Holland , and signed cooperative agreement on exchanging curriculum and development of the programs.
　 Through the continuous efforts, the education achievements of the school have been approved widely in the society. Tourism Management was listed as the College Model Major in 2005, and provincial Model Major as well as the key major of the national exemplary vocational colleges in 2006. The school was also appointed the key model school of QTC in 2006.
