Information School has five majors: Software Technology, Computer Application, Computer Networking, Applied Electronics and Computer Communications, among which Software Technology is one of the key majors in the constructing plan of national exemplary vocational colleges. The school has 59 teaching staff among which 18 are associate professors and professors, and 20 postgraduates. Above 90% of the staff own both academic and professional qualifications, and the number of students exceeds 880.
　 The School owns systematic training facilities including 16 workshops on campus and 10 closely-cooperated training bases outside. The Information Section of the Technical Museum , the National Base of Electron and Automation under construction and the training facilities construction of the national exemplary vocational colleges will provide better practice on campus.
　 The School has 1 provincial model course, 4 college model courses, 1 college model major and 1 college model training base. Systematic supervision and guarantee for teaching has been set up.
　 The School follows the college's talents-cultivating mode of “ Teaching and Training in Practical Situations and Coupling the College with the Community ”, and enforces the cooperation with companies. The Hisense Class has been set up by the School and Hisense Group to cultivate the qualified technicians of Electronic and Technical Quality Control and the Marketing and Service of Electronic Products. The Software Testing Center has been set up by the School and Qingdao Huisin Technology Corporation to develop new courses, offer software testing service for IT companies, and provide the students with authentic training situation.
　 The School takes positive part in the construction of National Exemplary Vocational Colleges. With thorough research and argumentation, the school came up with characteristic constructing plan of Software Technology better clarifying the construction of lab and training facilities, teachers' training, curriculum development and teaching reform.
　 The annual employment rate of the school is over 95%. Students can also choose to practise or even to work abroad. Emphasis is also placed on the ideological and political work of the students.
