School of engineering and arts consist of there majors: biochemistry and medicine, light and textile industry and food, art layout and media. The 64 faculty of the school possess rich academic background and extensive teaching experiences, which including 17 professors, assistant professors and senior technologists, 60 more part-time teachers from the manufacturing front-line of the enterprises. The school has four Teaching and T raining Sectors namely: fashion design, arts design, chemistry and chemical engineering and biological technology.
　The vocational specialties lists as fashion design(fashion technology, fashion layout and marketing), decoration design, environment design, applied chemical engineering technology, Commodity Inspection Technology(commodity inspection and quality control, declaration and inspection commodity logistics management, food processing technology and food logistics). The adult education specialties are four-year chemistry education, four year and two year fine arts education, two year image design. The school also undertakes the training for the backbone faculty and new teachers of biology, chemistry and fine arts. Besides, the specialty of fashion design was listed in the adjuvant constructing plan of the national exemplary vocational colleges.
　 The school adheres to the college motto of “ Cultivating Ability and Applying Knowledge to Practice ”, carries forward the educational concept of Teaching & Learning for Application , and initiates the college's talents-cultivating mode of Teaching & Training in Practical Situations, Coupling the College with the Community. The school pays great attention to train the students' professional capacity and sound personality; as a result, the students won many skills competitions of Shandong province and Qingdao city with distinction.
　 The school has established co-operation with many enterprises. Now it has set up 36 training bases outside the campus, cultivates the students together the enterprises, and emphasizes work-integrated learning. The workshops with complete functions and advanced equipment have been set up on campus to strengthen the students' skills. The teaching always focuses on the implement of duel certificated system . The school has cultivated large numbers of talents with large skills who are very popular in the enterprises.
