In August, Gao Yan and Zhang Jian from the Department of Arts, won the Golden Prize and Copper Prize respectively of the Piano Major professional youth group and Vocal Music Major professional youth group on the 3rd “Star and Torch” national final competition of youth artistic talents.
This competition was co-sponsored by the Chinese Young Pioneers Development Center of Central Communist Youth League Committee, Chinese Culture Communication and Cooperation Promoting Association of National Radio and Television Bureau, Chinese Arts Foundation for Youth and Children of the Culture Ministry, Chinese Youth and Children Education Branch Outside Schools, which is of Chinese Education Society of Education Ministry, and Red Scarf Arts Group of Chinese Young Pioneers.
