Ms. Lin Chengzhi, President of the Kuomingdang (KMT) Central Review Presidium and former Vice-President of KMT, visited QTC in Sept. 29, accompanied by Mr. Liu Hongjing，liaison officer and executive of the Academic Exchange Activities between Mainland China and the Taiwan Shih Chien University as well as Mr. Bi Xinghai, deputy director, Taiwan Affairs Office of the Qingdao Municipal Government.
Ms. Lin Chengzhi led a Taiwan KMT Confucius Worship Delegation to pay homage to Confucius and attended the Across the Straits Worship Ceremony for Confucius on Sept. 28th in Qufu, which consists mainly of people from mainland China and Taiwan, symbolized their shared culture and origin. In May, President Lin Chengzhi visited QTC to present the Swan Lake Photographic Exhibition created by Mr. Xie Mengxiong, a famous photographer fromTaiwan and President of Taiwan Shih Chien University. President Lin Chenzhi established a friendly relationship with QTC. And this was the first time for her to visit a college on Mainland China.
President Lin Chengzhi also gave a lecture in the Academic Hall for college leaders, teaching staff and students of QTC. She expressed her appreciation to be invited to visit such a beautiful, fast-developing and highly reputed college. President Lin Chengzhi introduced the development history of Taiwan Shih Chien University of which she had been the president. President Lin Chengzhi said that both colleges shared the similarities in the schooling theories which have been adapted to the policy of cultivating people’s practical skills which are useful. It is a great opportunity for the students to study in such an excellent college. She also hoped there would be more exchanges and co-operation between TSCU and QTC.
Mr. Liu Zongjun, Secretary of CPC Committee of QTC, gave an introduction to the distinguished guests. Dr. Shi Zhongjian, President of QTC made a warm speech to welcome and expressed his appreciation to President Lin Chengzhi’s visit to QTC. He also delivered his thanks to Prof. Xie Mengxiong, President of TSCU, for his efforts in promoting the mutual exchange and co-operation between TSCU and QTC. Mr. Song Yu, Vice-Secretary of CPC Committee of QTC, hosted the meeting.
President Lin Chengzhi and the group visited the training rooms in the Haier School, accompanied by Dr. Shi Zhongjian, and she was satisfied with QTC’s co-operation with such an enterprise with a reputation globally.
